Women and Birth (the official journal of the Australian College of Midwives) publishes on matters relating to pregnancy, birth, and the first six weeks post-partum. The journal seeks papers that take a woman-centred focus on midwifery practice, research, theory, education, management and leadership, maternity service provision, maternal and newborn health, respectful maternity care, breastfeeding, primary health care and relevant aspects of psychology, sociology, human rights and health economics.

Group B Strep International

Group B Strep International’s mission is to promote awareness and prevention of group B strep (GBS) disease in babies not only at birth, but during pregnancy and through early infancy.

To help achieve our mission, we are hosting an online conference on GBS disease to coincide with July being International Group B Strep Disease Awareness Month. We have also developed a variety of patient materials to help parents help protect their babies from the devastating effects of GBS disease.

We are looking forward to chatting with you to share our patient materials, discuss how to best help protect babies at all stages from GBS disease, and learn how we can best help you promote GBS disease awareness and prevention in your practice!

Concept Foundation

Concept Foundation is an international not for profit organization with the mission to identify, innovate and enable equitable access to quality-assured, affordable, and essential Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) medicines and technologies in LMICs.

Over the past three decades, Concept Foundation has been transformational in the SRH field by expanding the method mix of modern contraceptive methods and essential maternal health medicines available to women in LMICs that are safe, effective, and affordable.

In parallel with ongoing efforts to reduce Post-Partum Haemorrhage (PPH) in LMICs, we are working with partners that include WACI Health – an African regional advocacy organization striving to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all in Africa. We are developing comprehensive national and regional strategies to strengthen systems for WHO-recommended PPH medicines procurement as well as updating guidelines and policies to improve access to quality PPH care across the African region. The role of midwives in managing PPH is critical and together with WACI Health, we are excited to engage and share learnings from our project.

American College of Nurse-Midwives

The American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) is the professional association of certified nurse-midwives (CNMs) and certified midwives (CMs) in the United States. ACNM sets the standard for excellence in midwifery education and practice in the United States and strengthens the capacity of midwives in developing countries. Our members are primary care providers for women throughout the lifespan, with a special emphasis on pregnancy, childbirth, and gynecologic and reproductive health.
